Leslie Hayes and her team of professionals are here to provide you with the best possible service. Learn more about the qualifications of our amazing team.

Leslie Hayes, DDS is a Bozeman dentist.

Dr. leslie hayes

Born and raised in Livingston, Montana, Leslie Hayes completed her undergraduate work at MSU in 1986, here in beautiful Bozeman.  She achieved her DDS degree from the University of Minnesota in 1991 and immediately moved back to Bozeman to start her practice in 1990.  She is the current President of the Montana constituent of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), is the current chairman of the AGD Fellowship Exam Committee Team C.

Her dedication to leadership in the dental field has spanned many years as she has served as President, Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer of the 6th District Dental Society of the American Dental Association (ADA) and as Secretary/Treasurer, President Elect and President of the Montana Academy of General Dentistry, and Chairman and committee member of the Self Instruction Committee of the Academy of General Dentistry.

In addition to her commitment to leadership, she has demonstrated her commitment to continuing education starting in 1992 when she began working toward her Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry.  Earning her Fellowship in 1997, she continued to work toward her Mastership in the AGD, which she will receive in June 2015.  Fellowship and Mastership in the AGD required passing a written exam, taking at least 1000 hours of continuing education with 500 of those hours being hands-on courses.  She is so passionate about continuing education that she currently serves as the chairman of the AGD Fellowship Exam Committee Team C and serves on the Montana Dental Association Continuing Education committee.  Continuing education is such a passion for Dr. Leslie Hayes because she sees it directly benefiting her patients’ needs.  When she saw a real need for a simple approach to orthodontics, she pursued a special 2 year course to meet that need, approaching this service as she does all of her work: simply and honestly.
Dr. Hayes is one of the friendliest and most approachable people you will meet and her dedication to her patients and to her profession extends to the greater Bozeman community, as well.  She has served on the boards of the Bozeman Area American Red Cross, Gallatin Valley United Way, and Cancer Family Network of Montana.
When she’s not in her office or attending professional conferences, you might meet Dr. Hayes hiking with her poodles, Luke and Stella on trails around Bozeman.  She also loves to quilt with friends, travel the world with her mother and spends as much time as possible with her two granddaughters.

Welcome Dr. Timothy Lawhorn DDS. A wonderful addition to our dental team.

Dr. Timothy Lawhorn

Dr. Lawhorn is proud to say that he was born and raised at the end of a dirt road in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. His mother worked long and hard to see that he had an opportunity to get an education. Completing the formal part of his education at Loma Linda University in southern California exposed Dr. Lawhorn to the pleasures of low humidity, but California couldn't compete with the northern Rocky
Mountains when he could finally choose where to live and raise a family of his own. At 25 years of age, on receiving his Doctorate in Dental Surgery, he carefully selected Missoula, Montana to become his home and the place where his daughters Jessica and Kathryn would be born and come of age.

Service and Volunteering:

Dr. Lawhorn is committed to the dental health of all Montanans. He has provided screening and been either "Super Tooth" or "The Tooth Fairy" at the Montana Special Olympics annual competitions in Missoula, Great Falls and Bozeman.

He gives back to the dental profession by serving as an officer in the Montana Academy of General Dentistry; he is the Past President of that continuing education based organization. Dr. Lawhorn loves nature and the land we inhabit; he has been a sponsor of Ducks Unlimited for 18 years.

Dr. Lawhorn provides dental care in the firm conviction that an informed patient's choices must drive his care plans. He listens to the concerns, history and desires of each patient, evaluates their dental health and conditions and then every patient is educated on the benefits that modern dental care can facilitate. Once the patient has an understanding of their options and has determined the services he/she wishes to utilize, Dr. Lawhorn applies his 31 years of experience to see that each person achieves their dental health objectives.

Hi there! I am a dental hygienist on Dr. Leslie Hayes’s dental team.  I have had the privilege to work with Dr. Hayes for almost 23 years.  It is our goal to provide every patient quality dental work in a clean comfortable setting.  Our team members truly care for every patient and want to provide each person with the best dental experience possible.

I grew up in Big Timber, MT and then attended hygiene school in Sheridan, WY, going on to the University of Wyoming where I attained a BS in Dental Hygiene with an emphasis on public health.  After graduating in 1988, I worked in Wyoming and Colorado and spent summers working for the State of Colorado Migrant Program. I then moved back home to Montana to continue my career in dental hygiene.

I am married and have two children.  Our family is very involved in most sporting events. We love to spend time outdoors and spend summers camping in our favorite Montana spots.

DENTAL assiStant

I have been dental assisting for 10 years.  I joined this practice in 2014 and I am proud to be part of such a warm caring team.

I moved to Bozeman with my husband in 2003 from Northern California.  We are raising our 3 children here in Bozeman and are thoroughly enjoying the many activities the Gallatin Valley has to offer.

I started working for Dr. Hayes in 2013.  Not knowing much about dentistry when I started, I truly enjoyed learning and working with this amazing staff.

I moved to Bozeman 21 years ago from a small town in Minnesota where my parents had a dairy farm.  The farm taught me hard work and love for animals.  On weekends you can find me riding dirt bikes, snowmobiles or my horse.  I also enjoy photography and going for walks with my dog.  My most exciting life event will be happening in July 2017 when I marry my wonderful fiance!

I have been a dental hygienist for 11 years.  I moved to Bozeman a year ago with my husband and two kids.  We are really enjoying the Bozeman area and all the opportunities it has to offer.  Some of my favorites include: camping, fishing, hiking, skiing and hunting all with my family.

DENTAL HYgienist

My career as a dental hygienist started in 1996.  I have worked for Dr. Hayes for over 7 years.  It is a fantastic practice and I feel grateful to be part of it.  I am fortunate to work with wonderful colleagues, who all strive to achieve the best care for and dedication to our patients.

I love the personal relationships built with my patients and that I am able to provide them with the opportunity to have the best oral health.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, treasuring every moment I have with them.  Born and raised in the Gallatin Valley, I enjoy being outdoors and love everything this area has to offer.

I am a native of Montana and grew in the Frenchtown area.  I went through a four year program at the University of Montana for Radiology tech and graduated in 2010.   I began dental assisting in February of 2012 in Missoula for Full Care Dental.  I completed my dental assisting certification in 2017 and moved to Bozeman.

My five years experience in dental assisting has helped give me the ability to help patients which is a passion.   I have an older sister with cerebral palsy and I really understand the meaning of compassion in the medical field.  It is what inspires me.

I love spending time with my family and anything outdoors. I enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, horseback riding and hiking with my puppy dog Addy.
